The pilot project involving the launch of a network of charging stations dedicated to heavy goods vehicles, involving entities from the entire supply chain
Project timeline
eHDV Infrastructure Lab is an extremely comprehensive project that requires the involvement of numerous entities from the logistics industry, OEM, retailers and public utilities. In order to optimize the activities, the following milestones have been identified to be an adequate measure of the development of works

Knowledge building
Distribution of knowledge within the expert group and preparation of a report summarizing the implementation project
Designing the station of the future
Defining the requirements of the technical specification of the charging station for heavy duty vehicles
Identification of potential eHDV charging hub locations and key transport routes
Analysis of the main routes and parking places as well as the development of a map of charging stations for electric trucks
„In order for the electrification of heavy transport in Poland to become a reality on a larger scale, it is necessary, to undertake multidimensional activities, including the development of dedicated high-power charging infrastructure and the introduction of effective instruments of financial support for buyers of this type of vehicles” – says Maciej Mazur, Managing Director of PSPA.

CO2 emissions
Carbon dioxide emissions per kilometer of vehicles participating in the EKO-LOG Project
(data obtained during the test)
Total CO2 emissions of vehicles participating in the EKO-LOG Project
Over a distance of 5,056 km the Volvo FE Electric truck reduced CO2 emissions by almost 2 tons compared to a vehicle with an internal combustion engine. To produce a similar amount of carbon dioxide saved, the average passenger car would have to travel almost 20,000. km, which for a statistical Polish driver would take over 2 years.
